When dealing in the technology, it becomes a question of whether you overuse something. I think that’s worse than having something technologically available to you and not using it.

I’m committed to increasing long-term value for shareholders and am confident we will continue to do so through the successful execution of our core strategic priorities: the creation of high quality, branded content and experiences, the use of technology, and creating growth in numerous and exciting international markets.

My problem is that I like technology, but I always have to ask myself, ‘Now wait a minute, will I actually have any use for this?’

The world changes materially. Science makes advances in technology and understanding. But the world of humanity doesn’t change.

We need a data network that can easily carry voice, instead of what we have today, a voice network struggling to carry data.

Here you have a new technology, and if that technology is going to work, you must allow people to provide central indexes of the data. It’s just like a newspaper that publishes classified ads.

Well, clearly Apple is a role model of the American innovation whereby it produced all these products – iPod, iPhone, iPad – that are really now dominating all the technology arena in the world.

However, even during the preparations for action, we laid our plans in such a manner that should there be progress through diplomatic negotiation, we would be well prepared to cancel operations at the latest moment that communication technology would have permitted.

A successful society is characterized by a rising living standard for its population, increasing investment in factories and basic infrastructure, and the generation of additional surplus, which is invested in generating new discoveries in science and technology.
